Arsenal’s new exciting left-back Nuno Tavares has reacted to his debut performance in which he scored a superb strike.
The former Benfica star started as the Gunners took on Scottish giants Rangers FC, and the 22-year-old’s impressive performance included an equalizer for 1-1 with his weaker right foot, before the game ended 2-2.
Tavares soon spoke to the club’s media about his debut, which he confirmed resulted in strong happiness and excitement.
💬 “I’m good at shooting with my right foot.”

“I felt good. It was a good game for me and for us. A good test. I think we had a good match and we learned a lot,” Tavares said via Arsenal’s website.
“I feel very happy to score my first goal with Arsenal. I’m so excited for this and today I did it. It’s good to play with the best, like Aubameyang and Laca. They’re very good players and to play with them, it’s so good,” he added.
The Portuguese star concluded by describing what he is determined to achieve as an individual in his first season in North London.
“To play free, not be scared, do my job and that’s it. I’m so excited to play with fans at the Emirates. I can’t wait for this. We will see.”
Coming up next for Mikel Arteta’s side is a trip to the United States to face Inter Milan in the Florida Cup next week.
