Erika Jayne is reportedly beginning to panic following a judge’s recent ruling as her life continues to fall apart piece by piece.
Though the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has denied any involvement in her estranged husband’s misdeeds, she’s definitely feeling the pressure regardless. As fans well know, she’s been accused of helping Thomas Girardi hide millions of dollars he allegedly embezzled from his former clients, including orphans and widows of the Lions Airplane crash.
Viewers watched the “Pretty Mess” singer cry to her co-stars about her divorce, as well as the embezzlement allegations, on the most recent episode of RHOBH.
“What is being said is just insane. The lawsuit says my divorce is a sham so I could hide assets [and] people want to believe that,” she said on the July 14 episode. “I could have never predicted this f*cking sh*t. This is the end.”
She was clearly under a great deal of stress at that point, but she’s been hit with countless other lawsuits and allegations since then. In fact, a judge ruled just last week that Thomas’ former clients can go after the reality star for the money the disbarred attorney owes them. Following the ruling, a source told In Touch that Erika is beginning to freak out as she can’t believe she’s being punished for her ex’s alleged crimes.
“Erika knew that her divorce was going to get messy, but she never imagined she’d be financially responsible for Tom’s actions,” the source told In Touch Weekly in their latest print issue. “She definitely seems to be in panic mode – the walls are closing in on her.”
Unfortunately for Erika, the hits just keep coming as she’s now also being sued by the trustee in Thomas’ bankruptcy case for $25 million, which is the amount they believe she fraudulently received from Thomas.
Though her life has already changed significantly as she had to downsize from her $13 mansion, and learn to do her own housekeeping, her friends are reportedly worried that Erika doesn’t quite realize just how much worse things could potentially get.
“[Her friends] think she could be in denial about what could happen,” the insider shared before noting that prison time is a possibility if charges are brought against her. “Erika may be smiling on the outside, but she could lose it all.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11 airs Wednesday nights on Bravo at 8/7c.
